Pulled Pork and Goat Cheese Pizza

Pulled pork makes a great sandwich but the leftovers make a phenomonal pizza!  Whether you bake this pizza pie in a hot oven or buy my new obession, the Breville Pizza Maker, you will be glad you did!


Pulled Pork and Goat Cheese Pizza

1 12 inch Whole Wheat Crust

Leftover pulled pork about 1 cup

Barbecue Sauce

2 sliced avocados

½ cup diced Tomato

One handful of chopped cilantro

1 cup of goat cheese crumbles

1 or 2 seeded and sliced jalapeño peppers (optional)

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees or preheat your Breville Pizza Maker.  Prepare whole wheat crust or use a purchased crust.   Spread the dough if using evenly on a pizza pan. If using an oven, bake off for 5 or more minutes until the crust gets slightly brown on top and most importantly underneath.

Spread the barbecue sauce,  use more or less depending on how much sauce you like.

Spread the desired amount of shredded pork on top followed by the goat cheese crumbles.

Place the pizza in the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes.  Take out the pizza and spread the chopped tomatoes, avocado slices, cilantro and jalapeno’s( if using).    Cut and serve.
