15 oz flour (white or whole wheat)
3 teaspoons dry yeast
3 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
9 oz lukewarm water
Place flour into a large mixing bowl and make a well in the center.
Add yeast, sugar, salt, olive oil and water and stir until combined.
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 to 10 minutes or until a smooth ball forms.
Place dough ball into a lightly oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a clean dish cloth. Set aside in a warm draft free place for 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in size. (I put mine in an unheated oven)
Turn dough out on a floured surface and gently punch the dough down to remove the excess air, lightly knead.
Divide dough as required.
